Our microbiological analyses encompass bacteriology, specialized in the diagnostic of sexual transmissible infection such as gonorrhea through vaginal/urethral secretion culture, typhoid fever via stool and blood culture, meningitis by performing cerebro-spinal fluid culture, as well as urinary and respiratory tract infections through urine and sputum/tracheal secretion culture. We are also performing within this unit, virology with the determination of viral load of HIV, Hepatitis B and C viruses, diagnostic of Cytomegalo-virus, etc., mycology, with the diagnostic of fungal infections and parasitology, particularly with the diagnostic of tropical diseases such as malaria and schistosomiasis.


Our Centre is equipped with the most advanced machines and devices in order to meet patients’ needs. We provide whole array of hematological analyses, with both accuracy and speed which are vital for this service, ranging from routine blood tests, including Complete Blood Count (CBC) and reticulocyte count, peripheral blood smear, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, motulsky to test of the coagulation system such as Bleeding Time, Prothrombine Time (PT), Partial Thrombine Time (PTT), Thrombine Time, Fibrinogen, and Fibrin Degradation Products among others; and tests related to Thalassemia with Hemoglobin Electrophoresis.


We are performing a range of biochemistry test in a variety of fluids (blood, urine, cerebro-spinal fluid) in order to explore the main metabolic (glucose, lipids, proteins, enzymes) and specific parameters determined with our sophisticated and integrated biochemistry analyzers which operate on the principle of spectrophotometry/photometry and immune-nephelometry.


Hormones (beta-HCG, Luteinizing Hormone, Follicle Stimulating Hormone, Progesterone, Oestradiol, Testosterone, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, etc.), cardiac (Creatin-Kinase, Creatin-Kinase-Myoglobin, Myoglobin, etc.) and tumor markers (Prostate-Specific Antigen, Angiotensin-Converting-Enzyme, Alpha-Foeto-Protein, etc.) are determined using our high-performance immunoassay systems that combine sandwich detection method and fluorescence to provide highly accurate results.
